Jen, 41, turned out to support Courteney at a Women In Film gala in LA last week and insiders tell Now their friendship has grown even stronger over the past few weeks.
‘Jen feels she's always owed Courteney for helping her through her own marriage problems and divorce from Brad Pitt,' a source tells Now, 'so when Courteney called and said she was having her own marital issues, Jen was happy to help.'
Cougar Town star Courteney has been plagued by unsubstantiated rumours that she's grown ‘too close' to co-star Brian Van Holt, but while a source close to her denies this, Courteney refuses to dignify the gossip with a statement.
And behind closed doors the star, who turns 46 next week, has been calling ‘sister' Jen several times a day for advice on how to handle the attention on her marriage to husband David Arquette, 38.
